Land of the Free

This is a drawing I did mostly because I'm frustrated by the lack of appreciation most people have for America. I really love the principles that America was founded on, but it seems that a lot of people take them for granted. That's probably why I felt I needed to express my own feelings towards America the Beautiful--the America where we were free to believe in the religion we chose and wouldn't be forced by the government to change our viewpoints. The America where anyone can be successful, no matter where they were born or what circumstances they've had to deal with. The America where prosperity and individualism were prized. I hope that one day the division between ideals for this country's future repaired and we can get back on track to the America that so many died to protect. It seems that once again the real battle is within our own boundaries. Here's hoping for the 2012 Election.
